HFCL has signed an agreement with Bharat Sanchar Nigam
(BSNL) for Rs 2501.30 crore project. The company has become the first company
to sign an agreement with BSNL as the Project Implementation Agency (PIA) under
the BharatNet Phase-III Programme for executing project in the Punjab Telecom
Circle. The Company will now take immediate steps to commence project
implementation.
On January 16, the company had received Advance Work Order
(AWO) from Bharat Sanchar Nigam for around Rs 2,501.30 crore for executing
BharatNet Phase III Programme in the Punjab Telecom Circle.
HFCL is a leading telecom infrastructure developer, system integrator and manufacturer of high-end telecom equipment and optical fibre cables, having its own manufacturing facilities at Solan and Goa, and its subsidiary i.e. HTL facilities in Chennai and Hosur.
